I mean seriously, how beautiful is this??
Yes, that is a the front end of a four wheeler in the photo above. We rode all over the farm and one of the first stops was the chickens.
The next stop on our adventure was the creek where we caught crawdads and salamanders. (Translation, Aunt Shelley caught crawdads and salamanders, I just caught salamanders.)
We played and splashed in the creek for awhile and then decided to go for another ride on the four wheeler to dry off a little bit and visit the fishing pond. Ansley and Aunt Shelley gathered acorns and threw them to the fish.
There is a pretty steep bank that you have to walk up and on the way back to the four wheeler, the dogs, who had decided to go for a swim, decided to shake off right next to Ansley. Not only was she soaked again, but she lost her balance and fell. She saw all the red clay on her hands and came up to me in a panic,
"Mommy, is it bleed???"
No honey, it's mud. You're fine.
After the minor "bleed" incident both kids (and moms) were WIPED and decided to call it a day. We came home filthy and tired, evidence of a great day. I foresee many more days at the farm in our future this summer.
