Baby Olympian

That was the official diagnosis from Ansley’s pediatrician today. My little 6 month old is 16 lbs 4 oz and 26.25 inches long. (she’s 55th percentile for weight and 63rd percentile for height) When asked about her most recent developments besides her vocals (Ansley had been squealing the whole time we were back in the room- she was happy, just loud) I told Dr Corn about her Poppa teaching her to walk. She looked at me like she didn’t quite believe me, “She’s only 6 months right?” While she was doing the exam Dr Corn put her fingers out and Ansley not only grabbed them and pulled herself up, she got excited and did a little dance:) Dr Corn then pronounced her the “baby Olympian” and said if I hadn’t already installed by cabinet latches and gates I should, because there was no keeping her down.

that's so cute. jax was a blob; lovingly referred to as "amoeba baby" who was perfectly fine to sit/lay wherever you put him and not move. all of his milestones took a lot longer because he was humongous. i think petite, wiry, athletic babies are so cute, but they're a mystery to me. she's so precious sara!
