Baby's 1st Bike

After seeing Ansley's fascination with our neighbor's bikes and scooters, Josh and I decided it was time to get Ansley her very own bike. We took her to Toys R Us, which was a first for her, and once she got over the initial wow factor of seeing so many babies in one place we were able to fit her for a bike. Once we got it home, Josh couldn't hardly get it put together because Ansley kept trying to playing with it saying, "Ride bike? Ride bike?" But the big moment finally arrived and she was SO excited.

It's a little big for her, even with the pedal blocks she can't quite reach, but at the rate she's growing we didn't want it to be too small by the end of the summer.

She is perfectly content to have us push her on it or propel herself Fred Flinstone style.

It was roasting outside and since we knew there was no way were going to get Ansley to give up her new bike, we decided to break out the sprinkler to cool off.

She ran around in the yard, washed her bike with the hose, and overall just enjoyed being outside.

Of course, Josh and I can be as bad as a kid sometimes so after trying to spray me with the hose one time, the water war was on. We both ended up pretty much soaked by the time it was done, but we had a great time :)
