Sunday Sunshine

The weather the past few days has been abnormally warm for January, like in the high 60's warm. And today we took full advantage of that. It was Gramp's 80th birthday party so we went to Aunt Lynn's house for a HUGE lunch. After we had all eaten way too much and lounged for a little while to let the food settle, we decided to head outdoors.

I've mentioned Ansley's cousin Taylor before, she was the one who was sweet enough to let Ansley play with her American Girl doll at Christmas. Ansley is Taylor's shadow and Taylor is so patient with her. She held Ansley's hand and walked all over the yard with her, wherever Ansley wanted to go.



A few of the bigger kids had just gotten kite so they tried to get them going while the rest of us watched.

What I don't have pictures of was the attempt by the boys to really get the kites going. Ben drove the truck and my husband sat on the toolbox while they went down the driveway. (completely unsafe, I know) They get an E for effort, but the kite ended up in the tree :)
